Advance Iowa To Offer Webinar Series on Succession Planning
Posted: Mon, February 19, 2018
Advance Iowa, a comprehensive consulting program for midsized companies, will host a monthly webinar series in 2018 on succession planning, beginning Feb. 22. It's estimated that 85 percent of businesses have no succession plans in place, although a majority of firms will change hands in the next decade as baby boomers retire. "We have found that business owners need information and resources about all aspects of succession planning," said Dan Beenken, director of Advance Iowa, which is based at the University of Northern Iowa. "We've assembled a full schedule of topics that will answer questions, and we plan to provide tools that help small and medium businesses start the succession planning process." Visit www.AdvanceIowa.com
for more information on each webinar, find the link to sign up or learn more about succession planning. All webinars are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m.

Our Chickasaw County Business Community Sector Board has a goal to increase the skills of our local employees. One of the ways to accomplish this is by offering local, high quality training. NICC has developed a great opportunity for customer service, leadership, and team work trainings in Chickasaw County through a Business Sector Board Alliance
. The cost is $175 for two staff to attend five trainings at the Basic Level. They also have an Executive Level training for $100 more, if you are interested. In order to move this forward, we need at least eight businesses to commit to this training. In order to do this the easiest way possible, we are asking those who are interested to fill out the following Chickasaw County Survey
by February 9, 2018 by 5:00 pm
. Once they have gathered the results from the survey, NICC will then work with their trainers to get the course offerings scheduled. They will aim to start in March of 2018.
Our goal is to assist in growing our local human capital and to provide high quality training that will meet our community's needs. If you have any questions, please contact Megan at email@example.com
