St. Joseph Community School

St. Joseph Community School is a regional Catholic K-8 school serving parishes in New Hampton and the surrounding areas. The mission of St. Joseph Community School is to provide systematic training of the child's spiritual, intellectual, social, cultural, and physical development through instruction, discipline, and guidance.

Accredited by the Iowa Department of Education, St. Joseph Community School meets all state requirements and employs highly qualified teachers and staff. With an enrollment of approximately 200, the school adheres to the philosophy of teaching the whole child. To meet these needs, students in grades first through eighth are multi-aged in order to facilitate groupings according to appropriate academic levels, social needs and other factors. In kindergarten through fourth grade the average student/teacher ratio is 16:1. Student/teacher ratio in fifth through eighth grade is 18:1.
