Application for Service

If you are moving to New Hampton or building a new home/ business, please fill out a service application found in the utility form block.

To apply for electric, water, sewer, garbage and recycling service you must fill out a service application found in the utility form block. This application is available on our website or at City Hall. The application process requires showing photo identification for identity theft purposes. New customers may be required to provide a security deposit when applying for service. A security deposit will not be required if you have previously established a good payment history with the City of New Hampton, or another electric utility. The deposit amount is equal to the highest bill in the last 12 months for that location or a minimum of $100 for a home/ business or $50 for an apartment.

Solid Waste

Garbage Pickup ($13.99/ month)

  • Residents on the North side of Main Street- Every Tuesday
  • Residents on the South side of Main Street- Every Thursday

Place your solid waste in the bins provided by Jendro.

Recycling pickup ($8.11/ month)

  • Residents on the North side of Main Street- Every-other Tuesday
  • Residents on the South side of Main Street- Every-other Thursday

Place your recycling in the blue bins provided by Jendro.

Garbage and recycling are picked up by Jendro Sanitation.  The bins are to be placed at the curb with the opening toward the street and leave adequate space around them for the truck to operate. Yard Waste ($.59/ month)

The City of New Hampton has a compost site available for residents to bring their yard waste. The site is located at 2130 Odessa Avenue. The site is open 24/7/365. Please only dispose of compostable materials.

There is also curbside yard waste pickup in the Spring and Fall. The dates of the pickup will be published in the New Hampton Newspaper, on our website, or you can call City Hall at 394-5906.

 

2024 Fall Curbside Compost Pickup Dates

Saturday, October 26, 2024:  Compost Only

Saturday, November 9, 2024: Compost and Brush

  • No barrels or bags over 50 pounds
  • Brush needs to be less than 2” in diameter and less than 4’ long
