Youth Programs

New Hampton Parks & Recreation has been serving the New Hampton area youth for many years. Our goal is to promote healthy living through planned activities and open access to "play". We provide safe and age appropriate experiences for all involved in our programs. Our programs and activities could not thrive without the help of volunteers, and for that, we are very grateful to our community.

Online registration available for most programs, registration for summer programs and pool passes will begin April 5th!

Registration/Department Information

Register at the recreation office or by mail. The office is located at 112 East Spring St. Completed forms and correct fees (cash/check) need to reach the office before the deadline, if after the deadline please add $5.00 to the registration fee. We will not take registrations over the phone. Please make checks payable to: City of New Hampton. You may also register for most programs online at You will need to create an account before registering.

A program may be canceled if registration is low. If a class reaches the "class limit" be-fore the end of registration, your name will be put on a waiting list. Limits are stated in the description area of the program listing. The waiting list helps determine if another class is needed or possible. Having your name on a waiting list does not guarantee participation.

Listen to KCZE New Hampton (95.1) for weather cancellations. If you have missed the radio announcements, call the recreation office at 641-394-5464 or call 641-394-3037 for swimming pool information. If you use Facebook, you can find updates/cancellations on our page, just find the page "New Hampton Parks & Recreation", and click "Like" to see our announcements. If sudden inclement weather occurs, make arrangements for your child's safety and transportation. Make-ups due to weather will depend on program and season schedules. Sign up for text alerts at

Any registration made after the program deadline will be charged an additional $5.00 fee for each program registering for. If the t-shirt order has been submitted, you will also have to pay the late fee for the shirt!

By signing the registration form, you hereby authorize New Hampton Parks & Recreation permission to use any pictures taken during any programs/events to be used for media/informational purposes. If you do not wish to have your child’s picture used for such purposes please inform the New Hampton Parks & Recreation staff when registering.
