Park & Rec Seeking Bids for TRIBE Trail

    The TRIBE Trail & New Hampton Parks and Recreation Board are taking bids for the resealing of the blacktop recreational trail around the Middle/High School, CWC, and West Industrial Park (see map included). All bids must be received at City Hall, 112 E Spring Street New Hampton IA 50659 by 4 pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Bids will be opened on April 5, 2023 at 5:30 pm at the Park Board meeting (located in New Hampton Economic Development Office). The board has the right to accept any bid or deny all bids.

    The Board is asking for a bid on the following:
    -resealing of approximately 2.2 mile recreational trail, 8 foot wide
    -weed eat grass back from trail where needed to ensure asphalt is all getting sealed
    -clean out cracks in trail
    -clean asphalt for best adhesion
    -apply hot rubber emulsion to cracks that are 3/16” or wider
    -apply 2 coats of premium asphalt sealer

    Please also include a timeframe of when you would be able to complete this project.
